Hi,

A problem I was having with Hibernate 2.1.6 turns out to be fixed already on the latest 2.1 cut (see here for details).

As 2.1.6 was released almost 3 months ago, are there any plans to release a 2.1.7 version in the near future? I really need this fix, but don't want to take an overnight cut of the code for a prod. system.

Thanks in advance,

Andy

The current target for 2.1.7 is next weekend. It might change though.

To the Hibernate team... looks like the new production 2.1 release (2.1.7) hasn't been released yet - are you able to give any indication when this will be released?

Much appreciated,

Andy

Hello Andy.
Please look at your original post - I've posted there a solution which can help you without upgrading to 2.1.7

Thanks dlkpochtaws! That does look like a useful workaround - thanks for that.

However, as this has been fixed in the HEAD of 2.1, I'll probably wait for 2.1.7 to avoid having to do this.

When working with legacy data, it's quite common to have a composite key where one column of the composite key is a FK in to another table, so I'd like to avoid having this "quoting" in my mapping files if possible.

Thanks again,

Andy

Hi,

Just wondering if there's any update from the Hibernate team on a potential release date for 2.1.7?

I'm currently waiting for this to upgrade our production environment with a required fix, but depending on the timeline I may need to implement to temporary workaround - I'd rather not though ;-).

Much appreciated,

Andy

I'll try to do the release tomorrow (I've finally isolated a difficult cache bug), but I'm not sure we will be ready. It might need some more days to wrap it all up.
