Have a look at the FAQ, you have a wrong unsaved-value or you're using an assigned generator

my key was composite and assigned. This is a legacy system and I don't have much choices. I can create and update just fine, but if I do delete it throws:

(impl.SessionImpl 2379) Could not synchronize database state with session
net.sf.hibernate.HibernateException: SQL insert, update or delete failed (row not found)
