Can anyone let me know if Hibernate can perform a mapping accross multiple databases.

Lets say I have two tables with a FK relationship but both tables are located in two different (Sybase) databases, is it possible to perform a mapping (one-to-one for example) relationship between them ?

If anyone could shed any light on this it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks
David

If yuou can link your instance at the db level yes. But hibernate has to believe its the same db (could be different schema, catalog)
