Hello,

Once the sesisonfactoy is created, the config object is no longer available. Is there a way to the actual db table name /db column names through the session factory instead of creating another new configuration object.

Thanks

Keep the Configuration. Ave a look at the HibernateUtil.java of the caveatemptor.

You can download it from http://caveatemptor.hibernate.org/5.html.

Thanks, so the only option is to keep the config or recreate a new one.

I was wondering why can't an unmodifiable config object be exposed from the SessionFactory. Afterall, it's the sessionfactory that is used all over. At any point of time, if I need to get to the meta data on the DB side, my only option left is to have a special util class like HibernateUtil maintain the config or recreate a new config.

Opinions ??

Thanks
Shishir
