Hibernate version: 2.1.6

I am using the SchemaExport in my application to create the tables from the mapping files. I am using Hypersonic HSQLDB and want to use CACHED tables so say "CREATE CACHED TABLE" not "CREATE TABLE". I have been reading the hibernate source and as far as I can see there is no way of changing this without changing the hibernate code. Looks hard coded at line 143 of net.sf.hibernate.mapping.Table

Code:
#142 public String sqlCreateString(Dialect dialect, Mapping p) throws HibernateException {
#143       StringBuffer buf = new StringBuffer("create table ")

Have I missed somthing? is there a better way?

Many Thanks

Jasper Potts

I don't think this possible. Each database vendor has there own 'non-standard' table implementations. For example Oracle has Index Organized tables (IOT) and Partitioned Tables which cannot be generated from Hibernate and it's tools.

The only was is to mantain DDL files that create the tables for you.
