We're curious to see what kind of hit rate we're getting from Sessions, similarly to the getHitCount() and getMissCountNotFound() methods ehcache provides. Ideally, these statistics would be available both for the current Session as well as for all Sessions created by a given SessionFactory.

Are others interested in this? If so, I'll file an enhancement request in JIRA.

There are already a lot of statistics accessible in Hibernate3, also I think yours is not available. I'd say wait for 3.0 alpha and then file a feature request against Hibernate3 JIRA.
