We are still back on Hibernate 2.1 or so. The version of Hibern8IDE we have is great at testing HQL queries. But when you pop open an object inspector on an object which has a mapped collection, you only get a toString-like dump of the IDs of the objects in the mapped collection. You can't click on any of the objects in the collection to inspect them further.

This means that, for instance, you can't pop open a random Bid, see the list of Items in it, and then double-click an Item in that list to see the Item's details.

Why is this? Has this been fixed in subsequent versions of Hibern8IDE? We are perenially under the gun and are leery of upgrading any of our toolset (it's all working great and we don't want to screw it up!), so I can't just go out and test this myself.

Thanks for any clues :-)
Cheers!
Rob

OK, a bit of searching turns up Max's posts from July 17th and 20th which seem to indicate that things are a lot better now in Hibern8IDE land :-) I guess I'll grab the latest CVS and hope it works with Hibernate 2.1!

Cheers!
