And now some completely different questions

I've seen a lot of talks about bytecode/sourcecode processing and that one of these are needed for transparent persistence in an JDO 1.0 implementation. I'm a newbie in this game and I have som trouble fully understanding the meaning of this. I see that it will be optional in JDO 2.0, but what was the meaning of including it in JDO 1.0 in the first place?

I see Hibernate has a combination of runtime bytecode generation for proxies, and reflection to obtain the same thing. If you guys should implement JDO 1.0 this would be impossible right?

Any ideas of when JDO 2.0 will be released?

regards dag
