I'm going to attempt to get Hibernate's MBeans to work in a non JBoss environment but wanted to see if anyone else has tried and can offer some pointers. I haven't had a chance to look over the specific MBeans to see if they attempt to import or use anything JBoss specific or if they stick to just vanilla javax.management classes.

Has anyone gotten the Hibernate2 JMX MBeans to deploy in anything other than JBoss? I'm not too thrilled by the fact that JBoss uses proprietary (non JMX/J2EE spec) "SAR" extensions as a way to use MBeans and would like to avoid any app server vendor lock-in when possible.

I've done some MBeans and used the MLet service. I'm going to give it a whirl tomorrow and see how far this takes me.
