Hi! I've written an enterprise application using Swing for my client app, JBoss for my middleware, Hibernate (1.2.3) for my ORM and MySQL for my database server. Due to MySQL GPL license, I'm planning to move my database server to either PostregreSQL or Firebird 1.5.

Any comments or suggestions?

BTW, my database server has to be scalable, cheap (BSD license) or $0, easy to administer, runs on Windows, Linux, Unix and MacOS X.

Yeah, a year ago. Is Mckoi scalable in production environment?

I am using Hibernate with Firebird without problem sofar, only thing causing trouble is Firebirds pickiness on when to alow DDL statements, so I usually suggest to create the database yourself instead of using hbm2ddl.auto or such,
