Hi,

I recently discovered Chris Rossis patch in JIRA
(http://opensource.atlassian.com/projects/hibernate/secure/ViewIssue.jspa?key=HB-80) which seems to me like the best approach to handle the problem with oracles jdbc driver and LOBs.
But I have no idea how I could tell hibernate to use the OracleHackedPreparedStatement the patch provides. Does anyone know how to use this patch?

I'm using hibernate 2.1.2 with oracle 8.1.7 and thin drivers.
