How can we set arrays/primitive-arrays as lazy?

Using a proxy is not acceptable under certain cicumstances( see bug

What are the other options? Why can't we have arrays lazy as the collections are ?

Well, how should this work? You can't replace an array with "something else lazy", like a collection. Just think about it. So no, it does not work.
