Hi,
I am having a problem adding additonal maps to my hibernate.cfg.xml file. The problem starts when I add another map resource to the file. Initially I just have <mapping resource="test/User_tbl_map.hbm.xml"/> which causes data to be written to the client screen. As soon as I add <mapping resource="test/Artist_tbl_map.hbm.xml"/> nothing is written to the screen. Can anyone shed any light on this issue?

When I check my logs I get the following output:

1. logs

Most likely a DTD violation. Check the log before that duplicate import statement.

For every *.hbm.xml document that I have specified in my cfg.xml document, can I just confirm that the syntax for each *.hbm.xl file is:

<?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

<!DOCTYPE hibernate-mapping PUBLIC
"-//Hibernate/Hibernate Mapping DTD 2.0//EN"
"http://hibernate.sourceforge.net/hibernate-mapping-2.0.dtd">

<hibernate-mapping package="packageName">
<class name="className" table="myTBL">

</class>

</hibernate-mapping>

We have a DTD, please check it.

I have checked the DTD and all appears to be ok with both hbm.xml files. The problem is definately with Artist_tbl_map.hbm.xml as the problems only start when I include this file in my hibernate.cfg.xml file. I don't understand why this is as I have created a new Artist_tbl_map.hbm.xml from the User_tbl_map.hbm.xml, which works fine, and just changed the names of the attributes required in the document!. Can anybody shine any light on this issue please!?
I am still getting the following message:

- Hibernate 2.1.1
- hibernate.properties not found
- using CGLIB reflection optimizer

Don't know, looks like some strange parser error with a very unhelpful message. What is com.hp.hpl.jena.rdf.arp.RDFParser anyways? Notice that there are no Hibernate classes invlolved? I really can't help you there, you have to figure out such parser problems yourself.

Would it be possible, of course if you can spare the time, to send you the files I am working with to see whether you can recreate the problems I am having here? The problems I am having, I am sure, lay with postgreSQL 7.4.1.

many thanks in advance

I am not sure I can reproduce this, I neither have Postgre nor the thing that produces com.hp.hpl.jena.rdf ...? What is this anyways? AppServer, some kind of XML parser?

To be very honest with you, I do not have a clue what it is myself but I suspect it is some Tomcat/cocoon issue.... I may be forced to change database completely and move over to mySQL. Is postgreSQL fully supported by Hibernate?
