Hello everybody!

I'm new to Hibernate. I have a requirement to map one entity to multiple tables. This is part of exercise in mapping an existing database to Hibernate.

Is there any possibility to do that?

If we can do it only by subclassing EntityPersister or implementing ClassPersister, I like to know how complex is it and what are the implications of that when used in JTA and Tomcat.

Thank you.

Not currently. It will be made possible in 2.2. probably, using the <join> element.
