 Post subject: hibernate.properties not found

I'm trying to make a simple stand-alone application , when I look at the logs, I see

hibernate.properties not found

where am I supposed to put properties file? its on the root project directory, and I use eclipse.

As I put the hibernate.properties file to the binary directory (the directory where compiled class files are put) it worked , but I dont understand this, it was in the root directory of project and as far as I know in eclipse, projects main directory is *in* the classpath. isnt it?

No, it is not. For example if you have a source folder, only the folder where the compiled classes are placed is in the classpath when running the application. What you should do is place your hibernate.properties in the source folder, eclipse will automatically copy it over during project build. If you just put it in the classes folder, you might find it being deleted sometimes by eclipse.
