Problem getting Session in 2.1

I was using Hibernate 2.0.3 with JBoss( Hibernate configured as JMX Bean) which had been running fine.
But when i downloaded Hibernate 2.1 and started using it, this problem has started coming up when i am trying to fetch the session from the seesionfactory "net.sf.hibernate.LazyInitializationException: Hibernate lazy instantiation problem"

What can be the problem here?

got it..ehcache.jar was missing...i dont see a reason if we dont want cache why do we need it..is there a way around this
