 Post subject: Heuristic type deduction and private field access

It appears that if a property is defined to have "access='field'" the type must be specified in the mapping. Otherwise the heuristic type deduction attempts to use bean property accessors to determine the type. Can't the field's type also be used for type deduction? Is this behavior intentional?

If this isn't working, please submit it to JIRA as a bug report, with sufficient info to reproduce. It should work.
