Hi,

is it possible to define class and subclass in the mapping, where the subclass rows will saved in a separate table.
In the hibernate-mapping-2.0.dtd i found only the possibility to define a table in the class and not in the subclass.

Is the strategy save all classes and subclasses in one table the only one supported by hibernate?

Regards
Axel

Use the <joined-subclass> element. Hibernate supports all three inheritance mapping techniques.
