Gavin,

if I use the "where" attribute in the class element will it be used in the SQL queries to retrieve the elements of collections (in a parent entity)?

This seems not to be the case yet.

Do I have to use the where attribute of the collection mapping in this case?

Thanks.

-Markus

This issue came up in the beginner forum.
Answer:
Currently No.

Gavin stated he was considering adding it this functionality.

Okay,

I can solve this problem, by adding a where attribute to the collection mapping, with the same expression as in the class itself.

But for one-to-one or many-to-one associations, there isn't a where attribute ...

So, I feel that the where expression in a class mapping should be used in every SQL query, in which it takes part ...

Will this be the case?

I really, really, really don't like the idea of adding a "where"-filter to an <x-to-one> association. It just seems and feels completely wrong to me.
