When I want to do a Native Query I have the next code:
Code:
      List result = session.createSQLQuery(
         "SELECT {f}.descripcion AS {f.descripcion} FROM segu_fecha_inhabil {f} WHERE {f}.fecha NOT IN (SELECT z.fecha FROM segu_sistema_fecha_inhabil z WHERE z.sistema='TELLER')", "f", SeguFechasInhabiles.class).list();

In this case I receive the next error message:
Code:
<Oct 29, 2003 7:02:02 PM CST> <Warning> <Log4JBridge> <000000> <3249515 [Execute
Thread: '13' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default'] WARN  net.sf.[code]hibernate.util.J
DBCExceptionReporter  - SQL Error: 904, SQLState: 42000 >
<Oct 29, 2003 7:02:02 PM CST> <Error> <Log4JBridge> <000000> <3249515 [ExecuteTh
read: '13' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default'] ERROR net.sf.hibernate.util.JDB
CExceptionReporter - ORA-00904: invalid column name
[/code]

I checked the names in database and in the model and all is correct (include I did other querys (not native querys) and I didn't receive any error. Also I change the parameter to receive (in the table only have two values: descripcion and name) and I received the same message.

If I change the first Select at this form (I only changed the values to receive):
[code]
      List result = session.createSQLQuery(
         "SELECT {f.*} FROM segu_fecha_inhabil {f} WHERE {f}.fecha NOT IN (SELECT z.fecha FROM segu_sistema_fecha_inhabil z WHERE z.sistema='TELLER')", "f", SeguFechasInhabiles.class).list();
[/code]

I get results and I can access to this object. My question is if someone know something special about native querys, or have some idea about what is this problem.

Thanks in advance

Please post (simple) mapping and activate sql logging so we can see what it is acutally sending to the db.

ah - if this SeguFechasInhabiles class is a subclass - then you should remember to select ALL columns!

And notice (as written in the docs ;) that createSQLQuery does not support scalar queries (yet!) ...only full objects.

If you want scalar queries then request it via the JIRA or just use the good old way: session.connection() and use JDBC for it.

Look, the model is the next, I reviewed my class and is not a subclass. Something interesting is that my id is Date (I say this because I had some problems to do this with xDoclet, I had to modify the model directly)

Code:

<hibernate-mapping>
    <class
        name="com.ixe.ods.seguridad.model.SeguFechasInhabiles"
        table="segu_fecha_inhabil"
        proxy="com.ixe.ods.seguridad.model.SeguFechasInhabiles"
        dynamic-update="false"
    >

        <property
            name="descripcion"
            type="java.lang.String"
            update="true"
            insert="true"
            column="descripcion"
            not-null="false"
            unique="false"
        />

    </class>

</hibernate-mapping>

I face a similar problem. While using named query and resultset mapping, if I specify all the fields of the class in the resultset mapping it works. If one of the columns is removed, it gives the following error

Quote:
Error message:-
SEVERE: Invalid column name
Exception in thread "main" org.hibernate.exception.GenericJDBCException: could not execute query

Quote:
configuration

<resultset name="emailMapping">
<return alias="request" class="vo.Email">
<return-property name="dept" column="dept"/>
<return-property name="email" column="email"/>
<return-property name="emailId" column="emailId"/>
</return>
</resultset>

<sql-query name="emailQuery" resultset-ref="emailMapping">

select e.dept AS dept,
e.email AS email,
e.email_Id AS emailId
from SLK_EMAIL e
where request_id = 87373

</sql-query>

Quote:
java code snippet
List results = session.getNamedQuery("emailQuery").list();
