 Post subject: SequeLink and hibernate

Does anyone know why SequeLink JDBC driver of DataDirect is not recommended to be used with Hibernate?

On hibernate website ( http://www.hibernate.org/34.html ) it says:
"..but there are some weird date-handling issues with these drivers, so they are not officially supported. Don't bother with the DataDirect SequeLink driver; it has very serious problems."

I have been looking into SequeLink as a potential solution to connect up to several remote databases from the application server.

Does anyone know about any alternative to SequeLink?

Thanks a lot!

I discovered this a while ago, but have not yet had a chance to try it out. It's done by the folks at ObjectWeb, which has put tgether some pretty good solutions.
