1. Does hibernate support Remote or TCP lateral JCS caching? I understand that it can if it is enabled & cache.ccf is configured to do so. I recall that there was a reason for not including it in the documentation but I lost the link to the old forum where you duscussed it. What were the issues with JCS cache sharing?

2. The documentation on the JCS implementation in hibernate shows a cache.ccf file example. Does the developer need to manually configure these regions after the completion of the o/r mapping & component development to get the caching to work? It is not automatic is it?

3. We have complex objects & would like to use the JCS caching & share it across servers. A design pattern on the topic would be a good addition to your site. Perhaps if we get it working we can contribute :)

Don't use JCS distributed cache. We have some proper options for this kind of thing coming soon (in 2.1 timeline).

have you, guys, already implemented distributed cache? Where can we get some documentation about it?
