how to understand :

on the other end , the cascading options all, delete ,delete-orphans
aren't meaningful for many-to-manay associations......????
you said its a good point to understand entities and value types,,,
does this difference has any relationship about the cascading options??

i don't quite understand this point ,,,,,

Let's say you have Foo and Bar and there is a relationship with many-to-many multiplicity between these entities. Now it doesn't make sense to say "If I delete a Foo, go ahead and delete all the Bar's that are referenced by this Foo". Why? Because these Bar's are most likely still referenced by other Foo's.
