The Hibernate EmailValidator's DOMAIN regex pattern currently matches values that do not contain a top level domain (e.g. "foo@bar" is considered valid). Does anyone know if this is expected behavior? I noticed the Jakarta Commons Email Validator does not accept such values.

Thanks,
Eric

as per the RFC this is the expected behavior.
However, I reckon that most people want emails with domain names.
I guess a parameter in the annotation would solve that problem, can you open a JIRA issue.
