We are currently using Hibernate Annotations configured with Spring. Is there a Road Map anywhere that shows when Hibernate Annotations will work with Hibernate Shards?

We are very anxious to give this a try as we have been sharding our data for some time and have been forced to handle populating the objects through jdbc calls outside of Hibernate.

I have created the issue in JIRA

I will let the Shards team answer on the timeline. It shouldn't be too difficult though, so you might want to give it a try with Max's help

I spoke with Max and was able to get this to work, however it turns out that we need each Shard configuration to support a dataSource argument. Currently it only supports username/password, so you can't take advantage of dataSource connection pooling within the application. I'll create a JIRA issue for this matter.
