I am using Hibernate Search 3.1.0 along with Spring and in the setup/teardown methods of my unit tests I would like to close all index readers and writers and delete the actual directories/files created by the FSDirectoryProvider, then re-initialize whatever is necessary for the next test. Is this possible? Any pointers are highly appreciated.

Thanks!

I should mention I tried just outright deleting the files in the index folders in the setup/teardown methods, but they were listed as still in use, being referenced by something within the hibernate search architecture im sure.
