Is there a way with Hibernate Validator to specify warnings instead of just hard errors?

Basically I want to be able to alert users to some potential problems with the data without prohibiting them from saving the data.

It would also be nice if the validation levels match the levels of FacesMassages.

Does this exist or is it a feature request?

I think this is interesting and don't know if it is possible, but are you expecting
that the validator let your users proceed to next page, and thereon show the messages?
It would be too late to show any warning, and probably a bit confusing for the enduser.
What exactly do you expect the users's experience to be? Do you have ajax on your mind?

regards,
Sanne

yes I am curious to see how that fit in the whole model. I think groups in the next JSR 303 spec solve this problem though.
