I'm trying to write my own custom ID generator in Hibernate, instead of using the default ones. I can't figure out how to configure this using annotations though. Can anyone help?

I want to do something like:

Code:

@Generator(name="myGenerator" generator="com.mycom.myproj.MyGenerator")
public class MyEntity
{
    @Id
    @GeneratedValue(generator="myGenerator")
    public Long getId()
    ...
}

Apologies if this has been asked before. I've searched the forums and the user guide but not hit anything.
