This question regards the Hibernate EntityManager. In the persistence.xml file, can the password be encrypted? If so, how?

Thanks,
John

Sort of
If you are in EE mode, I woudl recommend using a datasource, hence the passowrd is not necessary
If you are in SE, you need to write a custom connection provider that will know how to decipher your password.

Nothing out of the box though
