In the documentation, there is mention of several kinds of Analyzers like EntityAnalyzer, StandardAnalyzer, FieldAnalyzer, and so on. I was hoping to read up on the differences among these.

However, I am finding in the API docs and in my IDE that there is only a ScopedAnalyzer. Can someone explain the discrepancy?

Thanks.

StandardAnalyzer is the Lucene standard analyzer.
EntityAnalyzer / FieldAnalyzer are example of analyzers class name, not actual implementations
As for ScopedAnalyzer it's an internal trick Hibernate Search is doing, you should not be too concerned about this one.

If you want more infos on analyzer, just google lucene analyzers, all the docs apply to Hibernate Search as well.
