A JSR 303 for Bean Validation is currently in progress in JCP.

Do you know if a public draft will be soon available ?

Is the specification close from Hibernate validator ?

We hope to push an early draft end of september.
So far (and this may change), the spec is close to Hibernate Validator, but some new interesting features have been added.
