 Post subject: EntityManager and Blobs

Hi!
I tried to persist a Object which has a Blob as Attribute, but it failed.
I use a injected EntityManager (@PersistenceContext...).

javax.persistence.PersistenceException: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Blobs may not be accessed after serialization

What's wrong???

I assume you're referring to the form that I've noticed several other postings use. But I've always wondered what their source was.

I found http://www.hibernate.org/ForumMailingli ... AskForHelp but it doesn't seem to refer to that form.

I feel like I'm missing something.
