hi,
Excuse the simplicity of this.
For an Application entity manager, what is the difference between:
entityManager.flush() and entityManager.getTransaction().commit()?

the first one is executing SQLs, the last one is also committing the transaction. I would recommend you read Java Persistence with Hibernate (see the top banner).
