Will jdbcType be supported within Hibernate Annotations 3.1? This is a fantastic addition to JSR-220 in my opinion, and relieves having to keep up with a full columnDefinition.

IMO, Hibernate types are much much more powerful and accurate, but we were not able to push that in the spec.
