I've given up trying to use annotations with Hibernate3 :(

Is it still possible to use XDoclet with Hibernate3? Are there any issues I should watch out for?

Thanks,
Gili

you can use it but it will generate h2 mapping files, you won't have access to new mapping attributes...

I'd love to use it, but I keep on getting utterly meaningless error messages. See http://forum.hibernate.org/viewtopic.php?t=939505 for more information. The last thing I want to do is go back to XDoclet, but I don't see much choice.

That's ok, I'm not familiar with them yet anyway. Right now my top priority is getting my application working. Any help you could offer with annotation support would be most welcome!

Thanks,
Gili

i can understand

As you'll be working with H2 mapping files, be sure to read the migration guide. Also be carefull with lazy default behaviour.

Good luck
