Hi All !

Gavin, could you be so kind to answer to my question about common "New Dialect addtion procedure" HOWTO ?

Template question:

"Lot of our customers want XXXBase supported through Hibernate. We have done the necessary work and ensured that we pass all Hibernate tests. We want our code to be part of the Hibernate distribution.
What are the next steps we must take to make our code part of Hibernate project ?

Let's try to start writing a small HOWTO together:

1) What about Dialect Code Package requirements - plain text, ZIP archive or another ?

2) Your suggestions about testcase and documentation which can be shipped with new dialect code ?

3) How many effort it will be to get a Java class with solid dialect (about XXX lines of code) incorporated in the projects mainline ?
Of course, when someone has time...

Thanks.
