Hibernate version: 3.0 rc1

In old session interface:

public Object saveOrUpdateCopy(Object object, Serializable id) throws HibernateException;

* @deprecated use org.hibernate.Session#merge(Object, java.io.Serializable)

But there is no such method?
What to use?

public Object merge(Object object) throws HibernateException;
public Object merge(String entityName, Object object) throws HibernateException;
