Hi folks,

I have a set of uniques constaints that I would like some assistance with.

For authorization purposes we are using the user name and password captured at login to create the JDBC Connection to DB2 (approx. 30 users). We would like to cache these open connection but don't seen any DataSource related facilities to do so. For this reason we are developing our own container to manage these connections.

When using hibernate is there a way to use the username and password captured at login to create the JDBC connection?

Is there a way to ensure that a users only uses there own connection(without storing a password)?

Thanks,
.testa

Either implement your own ConnectionProvider, or supply a JDBC connection to Hibernate manually.

Are there any examples of implementing the ConnectionProvider?

At what point can I provide the JDBC connection manually?
