Hi,

Is it possible to simply replace the lucene jars that Hibernate Search 4.2.0.Beta1 uses to the new lucene 4.0 jars? Or does there need to be some integration work to get this to happen b/c the index changes in lucene 4.0?

The reason I'm asking is I want to use Lucene 4.0's improved FuzzyQuery functionality ( see http://blog.mikemccandless.com/2011/03/lucenes-fuzzyquery-is-100-times-faster.html )

Thanks!

Hi,

I don't think it will be so easy. AFAIR, there are many changes in Lucene 4 which needs to be catered for in Search. I would assume you get a whole bunch of problems/exceptions if you just drop in the jars. Have you tried?
