I just upgraded to Hibernate Search 3.4 and have now started to receive the following exception:

org.hibernate.search.SearchException: Using JGroups requires the JVM property 'java.net.preferIPv4Stack' be set to true.

I have already set the property -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true but the error is still occurring. I am attempting to use Infinispan with jGroups for my index and had set this property while using 3.3.0.

The only thing of note is that I am using Resin3 as my servlet container and because of this I am passing the parameter to the JVM in the resin3/8080/bin/httpd.sh file.

Does anyone know why I am still getting the exception even though I am setting the parameter as noted in the docs?

Thanks!

Found the problem, it was an issue with my intelliJ resin configuration and was in fact my fault.
