hi again...

sorry about this type of question, but it donĀ“t hurts to ask, right... :)
this expression "vertical problem space" is driving me crazy, in particular the word "space" in this context. I have been trying to figure it out with no success.

what do you mean about "vertical problem space"?

EDIT: just to add the sentence that contains the expression i am asking about - "... because the vendor has a focus on a particular vertical problem space)."

thanks very much in advance...

best regards.

A vertical problem is an issue that concerns vertical layers of things. In ORM, a vertical problem space is "Reporting and Analyzis" or "OLTP" or ... A particular product might be better for OLTP but not that good for Reporting tasks. Some other product might focus on one of these or some other vertical problem space and solve it particularly well.
