New release CaveatEmptor (HiA) 0.9.5

The CaveatEmptor (HiA) 0.9.5 release now contains an interesting example of a many-to-many association mapping with a composite identifier. Some minor issues have been fixed, the bundled Hibernate has also been upgraded to the latest 2.1.6.

Is it possible for you to provide the XDoclet Hibernate for these three classes: Category, Item, CategorizedItem? I am having a problem doing this. Thanks.

Sorry, but I don't like XDoclet and don't use it. There are some examples in the book though.

Yes, I just don't like any buildtime processing, no matter what it actually does. :)

Hi,

I have been browsing the code of CaveatEmptor 0.9.5 while reading the book HiA (really great book by the way!).

I found a small bug in the class:

org.hibernate.auction.dao.ItemDAO.java

method name

Code:

getMaxBid(Long itemId)

uses the incorrect named query minBid instead of maxBid. The minBid named query is later used in

Code:

getMinBid(Long itemId)

I didn't see anywhere i Jira to report this so I do it here in the forum instead.

It is likely you have already picked it up and fixed it. Just the same, I haven't seen it reported before so......

Hi!

I just wanted to tell you the address for the cvs on [ http://caveatemptor.hibernate.org/2.html ] didn't work for me, until I discovered it should read only "cvs.sourceforge.net" instead of "cvs.hibernate.sourceforge.net" at the two lines helping to find anonymous cvs access.

I don't know - maybe sourceforge disabled subdomains in that part and you never noticed? However, I hope that will help other newbies like me to find a quicker way to the cvs in the future. :-)
