hi, i would like to get xdoclet that works for the caveat emptor sample. i am xdoclet challenged and could not get the current version middlgen to work.

i was wondering if anyone has made the xdoclet for this sample? or perhaps their is some tool that would take a mapping file and create xdoclet from it?

i am trying to learn about spring and using appfuse to do this. but appfuse want's a pojo with xdoclet. and the xdoclet produced by hibernate synchronizer does not include any association info.

i think that the caveat emptor sample would be a great demo for appfuse and spring as it could be turned into many different flavours of web mvc/pac examples (like struts, spring mvc, tapestry, jsf etc.).

any pointers will be appreciated

the author of appfuse says that it will eat hbm files, and i have since heard that there are some (minor) problems in going from xdoclet to hbm. so there may not be as much a need for xdoclet that as i had originally thought.

i may attempt to pump caveatemptors' hbm files through appfuse when i get a few clues about appfuse. i am stuck for now doing a simple parent child (which i know works real well in hibernate). and i still think that the caveatemtor would be a great showcase sample in appfuse since it shows flavours of inheritance o/r maps and also the flavours of the relational relationships so well in a way that an oo bigot like me can grok it.

what would be really cool is to be able to sic a perfmon like jmeter or something on the different flavours of web mvc/pac frameworks that appfuse rolls up. profiling a set of stuff like this seems like it could be real useful.
