Hi there.

Yesterday I posted in the 'Errata' thread a question regarding possible errors in the book regarding the parameter 'unsaved-value' of the 'version' element.

Today I noticed my post was deleted. If there is a rule that we cannot post on that thread I was not aware, and I apologize. However, my question is still unanswered.

There are several examples in the book where parameter unsaved-value="0" ('version' element). Is this an error in the book?

Indeed I can not prevent posting to that thread and I'd really like to. My only choice is deleting postings, as it would obfuscate the errata with user questions.

I've answered your question and was hoping you had notify reply enabled: "0" is only valid for unsaved identifier values, not versions. A quirk, but not a problem usually.

Hi Christian,

Thank you for your response. I do have notify reply enabled. However when I clicked on the link

http://forum.hibernate.org/viewtopic.ph ... 73#2225073

I got an error: "The topic or post you requested does not exist"

Again, thank you for confirming it. I would suggest you put a warning on the first post. something like
"*****PLEASE DON'T POST HERE, IF YOU HAVE CONTRIBUTIONS OPEN A NEW THREAD****"

that would help :)

Juan
