Hi Folks,

does anyone knows whenever the print version is available in Europe? Amazon.de (Germany) says that the English book is shipped at end of September. (Waaaaaaaah!)

I read in different thread that the print version is scheduled for mid August. I cannot unterstand what takes so long to import a untranslated book (most ot the times translations are evil e.g the German version of GOF was a nightmare at the frist editions... :-P) ? Any ideas?

Thx
Toby

Uhm, the import is just that, there will be no translation. Why don't you just preorder it at Manning or at Amazon.com? Amazon should get it in the next two weeks.

Mhm? Do Manning ship to foreign contries? Amazon.com has high export and shipping fees but I guess this is the price if you want the informations right now... :-/

Hi guys,

The manning/bauer linking didn't seem to work. And when I went to Amazon.com, it said the book hasn't been released yet.

So where do I go? :)

Hmm, actually seems like an IE thing, cause I tried one of their other links that went to the E-Book, and it didn't work either. Bleh.

Time to try sneak in another browser onto my machine. :)

Eureka!

http://www.manning.com/catalog/view.php?book=bauer

Found a link for another book like the above, and replaced the bookname. :)

Personally, when ordering for Europe, I've found it worth looking at BookPool.com, as by the time I've ordered 3 books, even with the express shipping it's cheaper than Amazon and you get the books faster!

I've got an order in with them at the moment but one of the books isn't in-stock as yet (Guess which one? :-)). Wonder when they'll get it in (probably after Amazon though, as that's the cost of the cheaper purchase price.) They have the option to ship in two parts, but at an increased cost, of course.

I've been using them for years and while they used to only cover the more popular books, they seem to have much more coverage these days.
