Hi,

I was wondering if there is an easy way using hibernate to migrate from one version of my application to another version?

Suppose I develop an application (using hibernate) putting everything under CVS.

If I then develop a new version of the application, and the hibernate-mappings (and thus the database) changes, can I get an updater?

I can run at the client so his database gets updated to the latest version?

This tool would probably then need the old and the new hibernate mappings or maybe only the new and a connection to the database?

Thanks

the closest thing is schemaupdate but that is only recommended for development, not production.
