What is the expected completion date of hbm2hbmxml?
When is it scheduled to stop being a beta?

I mean is it a good idea for me to come up with a temporary hack to solve the issues i have with it?

hbm2hbmxml does all the conversions that is relevant for reverse engineering to work + those things that have been identified as missing/essential by devlopers and users.........

Hibernate Tools will probably be marked final soon, but hbm2hbmxml (which is just a small part of this whole) will still have limitations.

Patches from you and others are the best way to improve it.
