Hey folks,

I'm using Hibernate tools for generating my DAO layer but the Log
object that is currently present in the template is for commons-logging. I
prefer to use Log4j. The tutorial states that you can use either log4j or commons but it doesn't indicate how I specify log4j to be used. Anyone any ideas?

Thanks,
Mark

commons log can wrap log4j if that is ok for you that is the simplest.

if you want direct log4j access update the templates to import that instead of the commons api.

Hey Max,

Thanks for that Max. By wrapping commons logging does that mean I have to make amendments to the setup? I'm not too sure what you mean by wrapping commons logging.

Thanks,
Mark.

commons logging is something that can use log4j not the other way around ( at least not easily ) .

Google for it; this is not hibernate tools specific.
