I downloaded Hibernate and imported the jars into the build path for my project. I did the same with Xdoclet.

When I enter the @ symbol into a javadoc comment, the only suggestions for Xdoclet it gives are ones starting with ejb. and web. It doesn't suggest any of the hibernate. Xdoclet tags.

What could be the problem? Is there something else that I need to do in order to get Eclipse to recognize the Hibernate Xdoclet tags?

Must I download Hibernate Tools? I get the impression that it offers a lot of stuff I don't need, and that I should be able to do what I mentioned above without it...

Thanks.

hibernate tools does not have any direct xdoclet support; jbosside has though.

I think you can register the extra @ commands witrh the eclipse UI and have them work as it does with the web/ejb ones. JBoss IDE also has support for this feature as well. In practice I do not use auto completion in this area.
