Hibernate 3.2RC1 + Annotations 3.1beta9


In the new release 3.1beta9 of annotations @org.hibernate.annotations.Table=(name=...) has been replaced by @org.hibernate.annotations.Table=(appliesTo=...) to reduce confusion.

Unfortunatly the hbm2ddl tool ask for the old grammar, so you cannot compile a source and use it for ddl generation.

Anybody has a workaround to suggest to me? When the next Annotation release is scheduled? Can you fix it in a next nightly build, if not already done?

Tools are tightly linked to Hibernate Core as is the annotations library. Obviously, the next release will have this sorted (and it maybe so in the source). Max can give you the most accurate answer. In the mean time you could try subsituting hibernate core libs and see if it works ok (it may not) otherwise try a SVN build as I would be surprised if Max has not addressed this issue.

we are kinda caught on the black side of the moon with respect to this one since annotations and seam/ejb3 for the moment is "out-of-synch" thus no matter which one I fix for something will brake.

i'm hoping for seam/ejb3 to get in sync soon so we can get everything aligned again. That said anyone wanting to submit a patch for this is very welcome and i'll do it asap since seam should be ready within the next couple of days.
